Apple Cranberry Crisp



  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2/3 cups firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup oatmeal
  • 4 or 5 cooking apples
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup fresh cranberries


Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9 x 9 (approximate) baking dish.
Step 2
Combine flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and butter until thoroughly blended. Add oatmeal and blend well.
Step 3
Peel apples and remove core. Cut into pieces and transfer to baking dish. Wash cranberries and toss them in with apples mixing well. Sprinkle with lemon juice.
Step 4
Top with oatmeal mixture and roll around so the fruit is well coated with mixture. Transfer to oven. Bake for about 30 to 40 minutes or until fruit is tender and mixture is bubbling.

Remove from oven and serve warm or cold.
